Vesuvius, previously known as Cookson, was showing as the heaviest faller on the FTSE 250 after the de-merger of its Performance Materials division to Alent became effective. 0930: According to the minutes of the last rate-setting meeting of the Bank of England the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) voted by a margin of 8-1 in favour of maintaining the size of its asset purchase facility unchanged.
