(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus on Tuesday will be on the first of two readings for inflation in the US.
At 1330 BST, the Department of Labor will release producer price data covering the month of December.
Consensus is that the year-on-year rate of increase in wholesale prices will speed up from 3.0% in November to 3.4% in December.
Earlier, at 1100 BST, the National Federation of Independent Business will release its survey of business conditions for the month of December.
The heads of the US Federal Reserve banks of New York and San Francisco will deliver speeches at 1500 BST and 2005 BST.
European Central bank chief economist Philip Lane is also due to speak, at 0735 BST, followed by the Bank of England's Sarah Breeden one hour later.
