Carillion boosted by government shake-up
Support services group Carillion expects to cash in on the need for outsourcing created by the government's departmental spending cuts.
Local authorities looking to rein in costs have given Carillion (up 15.9p to 370.5p) its 'largest ever' pipeline of potential contracts, helping its order book for the second half reach £1bn.
The firm also plans to double revenue from its international business, with a particular focus on oil-rich Gulf states such as Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
