BAE’s former US boss has landed a retention payment of £1.4m – despite retiring last month.
Linda Hudson, 63, had been given shares that would pay out three years later if she was still with the company.

But she is staying with the company on full pay until May in order to hand over to her successor Jerry DeMuro.
BAE said: ‘The company has acted responsibly to ensure an orderly transition that minimises any impact on the business at this critical time while fulfilling our contractual obligations.’
