Record sales from Warpaint London convinced investors to take a punt on one of the stock market stars of the bustling beauty industry.

The Aim-listed cosmetics group behind the W7 and Technic brands, which sells its products to customers either online, or more commonly, via retailers such as Tesco, Boots and New Look, hailed 2023 as a year of “significant growth in all geographic regions”.

The group produced record sales of £89.6 million in the 12 months to the end of December, a 40 per cent increase on the year before, as revenues in the UK and United States rose 17.6 per cent and 36.8 per cent respectively, while European sales climbed 60.5 per cent.
