(Sharecast News) - Engineered ceramics company Vesuvius has nominated Carl-Peter Forster to its board as both a non-executive director and chairman designate.
Vesuvius said on Wednesday that Forster, currently the chairman of Chemring Group, will join its board on 1 November before assuming the position of chairman on 1 December.
Forster will succeed the FTSE 250-listed firm's current chairman John McDonough, who joined the' board in 2012, immediately prior to the demerger of Cookson Group.
McDonough said: "It has been a great privilege to have been chairman of Vesuvius over the past nine years. Since demerger the company has developed as a flexible and responsive business focused on safety, technology, customers, and operational efficiency. I am proud to have led the Board on this journey and I am confident that, under Carl-Peter Forster's chairmanship, Vesuvius will continue to go from strength to strength."
