Emirates Telecommunications lifts stake in Vodafone

(Sharecast News) - Emirates Telecommunications has lifted its stake in Vodafone to 11% from 9.8%.
"The rationale of E&'s investment in Vodafone is unchanged from the original investment, as announced on 14 May 2022, which is to gain significant exposure to a world leader in connectivity and digital service at an attractive valuation," it said.

The company, formerly known as Etisalat Group, said it has no intention of making an offer for Vodafone.

At 1225 GMT, Vodafone shares were up 1.4% at 90.51p.
