(Sharecast News) - America's shortfall on trade in goods with the rest of the world narrowed by slightly more than expected last month.
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, in seasonally adjusted terms the goods trade deficit shrank by 4.4% month-on-month to reach $87.8bn.
Economists had anticipated a reading of $91.5bn.
Exports rose by 0.2% versus May to reach $162.5bn, while imports fell by 1.4% to $250.3bn.
