German retail sales fall unexpectedly in January

(Sharecast News) - German retail sales fell unexpectedly in January, down 0.4% against expectations of a 0.5% rise, according to official data published on Thursday.
On a yearly basis the fall was 1.4%. The month-on-month decline compared with December's 1.6% fall.
