(Sharecast News) - German inflation was confirmed at 2.3% in January, the Federal Statistical Office Destatis said on Thursday.
A fall in food and energy prices contributed helped pull inflation down by 0.2% month on month, also confirming flash estimates.

"On the other hand, above-average increases in service prices continued to drive up inflation," Destatis said.
