Nexteq names director Carol Thompson as new chair

(Sharecast News) - Industrial tech solutions group Nexteq has promoted its independent non-executive director Carol Thompson to the non-executive chair position.
The AIM-listed company said that, following an extensive selection process, Thompson has been appointed to helm the board with immediate effect.
Thompson was formerly the chair of the audit and risk committee, having joined the board in 2022, and has held a 20-year career in senior finance roles across the public and private sector, including at SSP and Electricity North West.
Nick Jarmany, who is the founding director of Nexteq subsidiary Quixant, has been standing in as interim chair since the exit of former chair Francis Small last summer.
Jarmany will remains on the board as a non-exec deputy chair, acting as a mentor to the tech leadership in the business, Nexteq said.
