(Sharecast News) - A record-breaking 83.9m travellers passed through London's Heathrow Airport in 2024, 4.7m more than in 2023 and 3.0m more than the previous annual record in 2019.
Heathrow said on Monday that it also expects to serve 84.2m passengers in 2025 as it invests more than £1.0bn this year to make the airport fit for the future.
Heathrow chief executive Thomas Woldbye said: " 2024 was an exciting and a record-breaking year at Heathrow.
"In 2025, our journey towards better value for our customers will continue by investing in the kind of facilities our passengers and airlines are looking for."
