Powerhouse Energy announces proposed collaboration with Avioxx

(Sharecast News) - Powerhouse Energy announced a proposed collaboration with Avioxx on Monday, to integrate its waste-to-energy technology into Avioxx's pilot facility for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
The AIM-traded firm said the project, known as Project Eden, aimed to produce 200 tonnes of SAF annually using non-recyclable waste.
Under the agreement, Powerhouse said it would work with Avioxx to assess the deployment of two 2.5-tonne-per-day gasification units to supply syngas for the facility.
The units would be based on the company's feedstock testing unit at its technical centre in Bridgend, and would be sold to Avioxx with a potential service agreement under consideration.
Powerhouse said it saw the collaboration as an important step towards a lower-carbon future, positioning its patented distributed modular generation (DMG) technology as a viable solution for both small-scale facilities and larger SAF production sites.
"We are delighted to be collaborating with Avioxx - this is a highly significant development for the Company as it further shows the potential of our technology and its adaptability to be able to service a wide number of industries," said Powerhouse chief executive officer Paul Emmitt.
"SAF has huge potential for us and is a sector that undoubtedly can benefit from using our technology to provide cleaner fuels for the aviation industry.
"We look forward to working with the Avioxx team in progressing Project Eden and providing further updates in due course."
At 1457 GMT, shares in Powerhouse Energy Group were down 0.24% at 1.12p.
