Friday preview: US inflation data, German CPI in focus

(Sharecast News) - Friday will bring with it key readings for US inflation, as well as a barrage of data on Germany, the euro area's largest economy.
At 1330 BST the US Department of Commerce will release its report for personal incomes and spending in December.

Contained in that report will be the latest reading on the inflation gauge which the Federal Reserve targets, the core price deflator for personal consumption expenditures.

Due out at the same time is the US fourth quarter Employment Cost Index.

In Germany, investors will be waiting on readings for monthly retail sales, unemployment and consumer prices.

Back home, at 0700 BST Nationwide will release a reading for its House Price Index covering the month of January.
