(Sharecast News) - Professional services firm Capita has been awarded a contract expansion to provide comprehensive training services for Marine Engineering within the Royal Navy at HMS Sultan.
Capita said on Tuesday the expansion marked the tenth service transition managed under the Royal Navy training contract that was originally awarded to it in 2021.
The FTSE 250-listed group stated that the additional scope, valued at £97.0m, will commence on 1 May 1 for a term of seven years and 11 months. Capita's Royal Navy training contract now has a total value of roughly £1.3bn.
Under the expansion, Capita will deliver a core range of services including training design and media, training delivery, training support, quality assurance, and equipment management.
Capita Public Service CEO Richard Holroyd said: " Strengthening our partnership with the Royal Navy and expanding our role in delivering critical training services is aligned with our strategic focus on delivering solutions that contribute to national preparedness.
