Clean Power Hydrogen completes level one test at NI Water site

(Sharecast News) - Clean Power Hydrogen announced the successful completion of level one of the site acceptance test (SAT) for its MFE110 electrolyser at Northern Ireland Water's site in Belfast on Monday.
The AIM-traded firm said the milestone marked the first stage in a three-part SAT process verifying the mechanical and electrical integrity of the electrolyser, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical documentation.

It said the test was conducted by Lagan MEICA, the contractor for Northern Ireland Water, with oversight from engineering firm Arup.

The MFE110 electrolyser had previously undergone a successful factory acceptance test in September at CPH2's test site, after which it remained in operation for further testing and data collection.

It was subsequently decommissioned and shipped in December for installation and commissioning at the Belfast water treatment facility.

The SAT process would now move to level two, which would assess the functionality of the MFE110 and verify electrical installations.

That stage would include testing the programmable logic control functions to ensure the system operates within specified parameters.

The final level three SAT, expected to be completed in the first half of the year, would mark a key milestone as the first scaled deployment of CPH2's membrane-free electrolyser technology to become fully operational at a customer site.

"The level one SAT test of the MFE110 is a very positive first step toward the key milestone of achieving first production of hydrogen and oxygen on a customer's site using MFE scaled technology," said chief executive officer Jon Duffy.

"We look forward to the continued progress of the process, culminating in what will be a proud moment for the team at CPH2 and Northern Ireland Water as our technology becomes fully functioning in the production of oxygen and hydrogen."

At 1127 GMT, shares in Clean Power Hydrogen were up 0.26% at 7.22p.
