Week ahead: China, US CPI, geopolitics in focus

(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus over the coming week will be on the latest inflation readings due out in China and the US - geopolitics permitting.
Those reports will be released on Sunday 9 March and Wednesday, respectively.
On the geopolitical front, negotiators from Ukraine and the US are scheduled to meet in Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.
That same day, lawmakers in the US House of Representatives are due to vote on a so-called Continuing Resolution to keep the federal government running until the end of fiscal year 2025 in September.
US producer price data are also set for release, on Thursday, followed by a preliminary reading for consumer confidence, also in the States, for the month of March, on Friday.
On home shores, the end of the week will also see the release of gross domestic product data for January.
