Johnson Service Group appointes new CFO as Monaghan retires

(Sharecast News) - Johnson Service Group announced on Monday that chief financial officer Yvonne Monaghan would retire after more than four decades with the company, including 17 years as CFO.
The AIM-traded firm said she would step down from the board on 1 October, with Ryan Govender named as her successor.

Govender, currently the CFO of Treatt, would join JSG as an executive director and CFO on the same date.

Monaghan would remain with the company until the end of February 2026 to support a smooth transition.

The board said Govender would bring more than 20 years of senior finance experience, having held leadership roles at Treatt and within the FTSE 100 group Associated British Foods.

His background spanned corporate finance, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and finance transformation across global FMCG and industrial businesses.

A qualified chartered accountant, he started his career with PwC in South Africa.

The company said the appointment followed a rigorous search process, adding that Monaghan will continue to support the business during the handover period.

"Yvonne has been an outstanding CFO for JSG and I want to thank her for everything she has done for the group and for all the support she has given to me personally," said chief executive officer Peter Egan.

"Yvonne has been instrumental in driving the success of the Group since her appointment as CFO in 2007 and she leaves us extremely well positioned for the future.

"I am delighted that Ryan will be Yvonne's successor - Ryan is a highly experienced and commercial CFO with a proven track record of exceptional delivery."

At 1030 GMT, shares in Johnson Service Group were up 0.15% at 134.4p.
