Alien Metals JV partner starts field work at Elizabeth Hill

(Sharecast News) - Alien Metals announced on Wednesday that joint venture partner Errawarra Resources had started field activities at the Elizabeth Hill silver project in Western Australia, as preparations advanced for a maiden drill campaign scheduled to begin within six to eight weeks.
The AIM-traded firm said the exploration programme, led by Errawarra's geological team, was focussed on refining drill targets across the 180 square kilometre tenement, which includes the historic Elizabeth Hill mine and surrounding regional prospects.

Work underway included field mapping, infill soil sampling, and a review of historical drill cores using portable x-ray fluorescence technology to identify previously unassayed elements.

Selected core samples had been sent for geochemical analysis to improve understanding of the mineralisation model.

The programme also included prospecting and structural mapping to support the identification of high-priority targets.

Alien said the exploration strategy was being developed in collaboration with external consultants and technical experts.

The joint venture was announced in late March, with Errawarra earning into the project through staged exploration expenditure.

"The commencement of fieldwork at Elizabeth Hill marks a pivotal step forward in the exploration strategy of our joint venture with Errawarra," said chairman Guy Robertson.

"The swift mobilisation of the geological team reflects the strong conviction in the project's potential and aligns with our shared ambition to unlock further value from this historically significant silver asset."

Robertson noted that Alien was free-carried through to a decision to mine, allowing it to retain meaningful upside exposure without funding obligations during the exploration phase.

"With early-stage works now underway and a maiden drill programme on the near horizon, we are excited by the momentum building at Elizabeth Hill and look forward to keeping shareholders informed as the programme progresses."

At 1036 GMT, shares in Alien Metals were down 1.65% at 0.08p.
