Smarttech247 appointed to major airport cybersecurity framework

(Sharecast News) - Smarttech247 announced on Monday that it has been appointed to a multi-year cybersecurity framework agreement with one of London's airports, establishing the firm as one of four suppliers eligible to provide a broad range of security services and solutions over a five-year term.
The AIM-traded company said the agreement, which had a total potential value of up to £7m across all suppliers, included an option for a one-year extension.

While it did not guarantee a minimum level of spend, the company said the framework positioned it as a trusted partner to one of the UK's most high-profile transport hubs and presented a significant revenue opportunity.

Smarttech247 said it would be eligible to deliver services under several categories, including around-the-clock managed detection and response, endpoint and XDR management, firewall maintenance, dark web monitoring, and cybersecurity assessments.

The firm said the framework also covered the provision of advanced cybersecurity products such as email protection and endpoint detection technologies, as well as next-generation security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, threat intelligence, and vendor security tools.

Each engagement under the framework would be managed through individual call-off contracts and governed by standard terms.]

Smarttech247 said its proprietary VisionX platform was also included among the offerings available to the customer through the agreement.

"We are delighted to have been selected for this prestigious framework with one of the UK's busiest international airports," said chief executive officer Raluca Saceanu.

"Being selected as one of its preferred suppliers for critical cybersecurity requirements further validates our strong capabilities in managed detection and response, and our ability to support complex, critical infrastructure environments."

Saceanu said the win reflected the group's continued execution against its strategy to grow through high-value, long-term engagements with critical national infrastructure clients.

"It is also a significant opportunity for us to potentially deliver cybersecurity services in a highly regulated and high-security setting over the coming years."

At 1027 BST, shares in Smarttech247 Group were up 2.38% at 6.4p.
