Crimson Tide appoints new non-executive chair

(Sharecast News) - Crimson Tide announced the appointment of Chris Fielding as its non-executive chair with immediate effect on Thursday, as part of a board transition at the AIM-listed software company.
It said Fielding was bringing more than three decades of experience in corporate finance, having held senior advisory roles at WHI Ireland, Zeus Capital, Arden Partners, and Hoare Govett.

He also served as chair and non-executive director of PCI-PAL between 2014 and 2022, and currently holds a part-time chief financial officer position at 2iC-Care.

"I am delighted to be joining the highly capable young team at Crimson Tide as they look to build upon its long-term contracted client base," Chris Fielding said.

"This is an exciting time for the Company as we look to exploit the opportunities in front of it."

Crimson Tide confirmed that Barrie Whipp had stepped down as interim chair and from the board, but would remain available in a consultancy capacity.

"Chris has the commercial and public markets experience to ensure that the company is in safe hands for the next stage of its progress," commented Barrie Whipp.

"In this short interim period, we have refocused the business to achieve profitability, improve margins and use cash generated to invest in growth opportunities.

"Our executive team has performed extremely well and are looking forward to working with our new chair."

At 1145 BST, shares in Crimson Tide were up 2.86% at 54p.
