US non-farm payrolls, Trade negotiations in the spotlight

(Sharecast News) - All eyes over the coming week will be on the latest monthly US jobs report.
On Thursday, 3 July, the Department of Labor is expected to announce a 129,000 person increase in non-farm payrolls, following a print of 139,000 for May.
The data will be closely watched given stagflationary concerns in the States.
In the background, investors will be monitoring the headlines around trade negotiations between the US and its main trading partners, not least the European Union.
Failing an agreement, reciprocal tariffs could be reimposed by Washington on 9 July.
Also of great importance, Monday will bring with it a reading on a key survey of factory sector performance in China.
It will be followed by rival survey results for the euro area and US the next day.
Services sector purchasing managers' surveys for all three regions will be released on Thursday.
Geopolitical developments in the Middle East and Ukraine will also be very much on traders' radars.
US financial markets will be closed on 4 July on observance of 4 July.
