Zenova secures extinguisher distribution deal with Firefighting Supplies

(Sharecast News) - Zenova Group announced on Friday that it has secured a distribution agreement with Firefighting Supplies, which includes an initial order for 2,200 units of its FX 6L all-class fire extinguisher.
The AIM-traded firm said the order, comprising 200 units for immediate delivery and a further 2,000 units scheduled over the coming months, was expected to generate more than £0.125m in revenue over the next year, with potential for an accelerated timeline if order volumes increased.

It said the extinguishers would be deployed across schools, hospitals, local authority buildings, infrastructure projects, and the new terminal at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Firefighting Supplies was recently established to distribute Zenova products in the UK and is led by Gary Poole, who the company said had extensive experience with Calendar Fire.

Zenova said the partnership would provide a key route to market for its extinguisher range, particularly within the public sector, as demand for advanced fire safety solutions grew.

The FX 6L extinguisher was designed to combat all major fire classes - A, B, F, and electrical - using Zenova's proprietary fluid technology.

It met both European EN3 and British Standards and was positioned as a safe, high-performance alternative to traditional foam extinguishers, which were being phased out under the UK Fire Safety Act 2021.

Zenova noted increasing interest from established fire extinguisher distributors looking to stock its FX range due to its superior performance and regulatory compliance.

"This new relationship with Firefighting Supplies is an exciting development for Zenova," said Thomas Melchior, CEO of Zenova.

"The company has been specifically formed to bring our innovative extinguisher products to market, guided by the deep sector expertise of Gary Poole and the established capabilities of Calendar Fire."

Melchior said the inaugural order and additional confirmed volume over the next few months demonstrated "growing demand" for the company's "advanced fire safety technology", especially as regulatory changes reshaped the UK fire protection landscape.

"We are also seeing growing interest from major distributors to stock our superior-performance extinguishers.

"We see this partnership as the foundation for a scalable and strategic route into key public sector markets."

At 1115 BST, shares in Zenova Group were down 4.9% at 0.23p.
