(Sharecast News) - The market spotlight in the middle of the week will switch to the Bank of England.
That is because at 0600 BST the Office for National Statistics will release its Consumer Price Index for the month of July.
Consensus is that the annual rate of increase in headline CPI picked up by a tenth of a percentage point to 3.7%.
Core CPI meanwhile is expected to have remained steady at 3.7%.
Against that backdrop, at 1800 BST the US central bank will release the minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee's most recent monetary policy meeting.
The results of a 20-year US Treasury bond auction at 1700 BST may also draw attention.
In Asia Pacific, rate-setters in China and New Zealand are due to announce their latest policy decisions.
