(Sharecast News) - Journeo said on Monday that it has secured a £3.5m variation to its existing framework agreement with First Bus UK, expanding its technology and engineering services to cover the operator's recently acquired London bus fleet.
The AIM-traded firm said the additional work extended the original £10m framework, announced in May and running through to March 2028, with an option to prolong the term by a further two years to March 2030.
It followed First Group's acquisition of RATP Dev Transit London in February, which brought around 1,000 buses and 90 Transport for London routes under the First Bus London brand.
Journeo said it would supply its 5G vehicle gateway connecting to the Journeo Portal software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, alongside digital CCTV systems, digital wing mirror technology for new vehicles, and field service maintenance across the London fleet.
Maintenance would be supported by remote condition monitoring via the company's Journeo EDGE technology.
"We are delighted to extend our relationship with First Bus into London and are excited to be part of the journey they are taking as they expand their operations and accelerate towards decarbonised public transport," said chief executive Russ Singleton.
At 1415 BST, shares in Journeo were up 5.36% at 424.61p.
