(Sharecast News) - One Health Group said in an update on Friday that it has made a positive start to the financial year, with trading in line with management expectations, as it pressed ahead with plans to expand its network of surgical hubs.
The AIM-traded provider of NHS-funded medical procedures, which was holding its annual general meeting, said was delivering strong organic growth and making progress on strategic expansion initiatives.
Chair Derek Bickerstaff said planning approval had been secured for the company's first surgical hub in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, with the land now acquired and a contractor appointed to oversee construction.
Site preparation work was underway, with One Health expecting the facility to be operational within 12 months of construction starting.
Bickerstaff said the company "continues to provide care, free at the point of delivery to more NHS patients through 'Patient Choice' across an ever-increasing geography to reduce the pressure on waiting lists," and that it would give a further trading update in late October.
At 1610 BST, One Health Group shares were down 2.57% at 253.32p.
