Audioboom flags record third-quarter results

(Sharecast News) - Audioboom Group reported record third-quarter results on Wednesday, with strong revenue and earnings growth driven by the acquisition of Adelicious and rising demand for its podcast and video content.
Revenue rose 9% year on year to a record $20.4m in the three months ended 30 September, while gross profit increased 12% to $4.3m.

Adjusted EBITDA grew 18% to $1.2m, marking another quarter of profitability.

For the first nine months of 2025, adjusted EBITDA was up 127% to $3.0m, on total revenue of $55.5m, 5% higher than a year earlier.

The company said average monthly downloads and video views jumped 40% to 135m in the third quarter, reflecting the integration of Adelicious, which it acquired in July, and strong growth in video podcasts.

Audioboom said the deal had made it the UK's second-largest podcast network and contributed to a record $8.1m in quarterly revenue from its Showcase advertising marketplace.

"Audioboom's positive performance has continued through the third quarter of the year and alongside record third quarter revenue, gross profit, and adjusted EBITDA, the third quarter of 2025 marked a turning point in the company's story with the successful acquisition and integration of Adelicious, highlighting the long-term value our platform business can deliver through accelerated expansion," said chief executive Stuart Last.

"We are already extracting new, untapped value from the UK market through our combined sales team and wider customer reach.

"Showcase - buoyed by the additional inventory now plugged in to it via Adelicious - delivered a record revenue quarter.

"Together, these benefits demonstrate the opportunity ahead for the company through further organic growth and disciplined merger and acquisition activity."

Audioboom said it had more than $79m of advertising revenue already booked for 2025, equivalent to 7% above total 2024 revenue with 11 weeks of the year remaining.

Cash at the end of September stood at $2.9m, with an additional $3.4m available via an overdraft facility.

During the quarter, Audioboom was ranked number one for video podcasting by Podscribe, with 12 of its creator network shows appearing in YouTube's Top 100 video podcasts.

It also announced the appointment of Craig Eastwood as vice president of international to lead its expansion strategy outside the UK and US.

Last said the company expected the final quarter to be its "best quarter ever" and that the timing was right to consider options for the business.

"With good momentum and record performance ahead in the fourth quarter, the timing is right to assess future opportunities to maximise the company's value," he said.

Earlier this month, Audioboom confirmed it had begun a strategic review and entered an offer period following media speculation, though it had not received any formal approaches under the UK Takeover Code.

The firm said it would update shareholders on the review in due course.

At 0907 BST, shares in Audioboom Group were down 1.94% at 608p.
