Result of audit tender
London and Lagos, 10 March 2026: Airtel Africa, a leading provider of telecommunications and mobile money services, with a presence in 14 countries across Africa, announces that following the conclusion of the previously announced formal tender process for the role of external auditor, it intends to appoint Ernst & Young LLP as external auditor for the financial year ending 31 March 2028 onwards. The appointment will be subject to shareholder approval at Airtel Africa's 2027 Annual General Meeting.
Deloitte will continue as the Group's external auditor for the financial years ending 31 March 2026 and 31 March 2027, with the latter appointment subject to shareholder approval. The Board would like to thank Deloitte for its ongoing contribution as the Group's auditor, and also the other firms who took part in the tender.
