(Sharecast News) - Baltic Classifieds said on Wednesday that chief operating officer Simonas Orkinas plans to retire and not to stand for re-election at the next annual general meeting in September.
Current development director Artūras Mizeras will assume the role of COO once Orkinas has left. Mizeras joined the online classifieds group 15 years ago when BCG acquired his business.
Baltic said he has led several of the company's most successful businesses, including its Auto, Generalist and Real Estate portals.
Orkinas will stay with the company for up to six months to ensure a smooth and orderly transition.
Chief executive Justinas Šimkus said: "Simonas has been an invaluable member of our team and a key partner in our journey for over 18 years. He was the very first employee of Skelbiu.lt and has been instrumental in the growth and success of Baltic Classifieds Group, from its early days to becoming a publicly listed company.
"I am immensely grateful for his dedication and significant contributions. On behalf of the entire company, I want to thank him and wish him the very best for the future. At the same time, I want to congratulate Artūras on his promotion. He has proven to be an exceptional leader within the group, and I am confident he will excel in his new role."
