Ariana Resources identifies potential resource growth at Dokwe

(Sharecast News) - Ariana Resources said on Thursday that further drilling at its Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe had identified potential resource growth along strike, after receiving all assay results from its 2025-2026 reverse circulation drilling programme.
The AIM-traded mineral exploration and development company said gold mineralisation had now been confirmed to extend at least 150 metres beyond the current resource envelope at Dokwe North, where it remains open along strike.

Ariana said the results supported an update of the Dokwe JORC resource during the second half of 2026. Dokwe currently has a resource of 1.1 million ounces of gold.

Key intercepts from the latest results at Dokwe North included 22 metres at 1.49 grams of gold per tonne from 111 metres in hole DRC29, eight metres at 1.20 grams per tonne from 65 metres in DRC31, and one metre at 3.77 grams per tonne from 101 metres in DRC30.

The company said the intercepts occurred at shallow depths in moderately to strongly oxidised dacite, suggesting the material could be amenable to mining and processing.

Extensions to gold mineralisation were also identified at Dokwe Central, including two metres at 4.67 grams per tonne from 174 metres and four metres at 1.56 grams per tonne from 52 metres, within zones of strong chlorite-pyrite alteration along strike and across a predicted faulted offset.

Initial drilling at the Sinkwe prospect, 750 metres east of Dokwe Central, continued to show potential for shallow gold mineralisation, Ariana added.

Managing director Kerim Sener said the company had confirmed "a significant extension" to gold mineralisation immediately north-east of Dokwe North, at a depth of about 100 metres from surface.

"This mineralisation also occurs in the weathered zone and represents material that would be classified as oxide, making it more amenable to straightforward mining and processing," he said.

Sener said the Dokwe Central results had also confirmed an extension to the south-west of the mineralised zone at depth and along a north-west oriented fault, improving the company's understanding of the geological controls in the area.

Ariana said follow-up diamond drilling would be required to test the continuity and extent of mineralisation at Dokwe North, Dokwe Central and Sinkwe.

The company said it was now focused on diamond drilling at Dokwe to obtain material for feasibility study testwork and geotechnical drilling at Dokwe Central.

Sener said the work would provide definitive data for the feasibility study and allow Dokwe Central to be included in future reserves when a JORC resource review is undertaken later this year.

At 1338 BST, shares in Ariana Resources were down 0.58% at 1.89p.
