Brickability to acquire fencing specialist HS Jackson & Son

(Sharecast News) - Brick merchant Brickability said on Monday that it had agreed to acquire fencing specialist HS Jackson & Son in a deal worth £19.9m.
Brickability will acquire Jacksons for an initial £15m consideration on a cash‑free, debt‑free basis, with a further £4.9m payable for the freehold land and property from which the business operates. It said the acquisition would be funded from existing resources.

The AIM-listed firm also said the acquisition, expected to complete around 30 June, was set to be earnings‑enhancing in the first full year and forms part of its strategy to broaden its product range and growth opportunities.

The business - which designs, manufactures and installs premium timber and steel fencing, gates and perimeter security systems - is headquartered in Kent, with additional sites near Bath, Chester and Bolton. For the year ended 30 September 2025, Jacksons generated £40.9m in revenue and £4.2m in underlying earnings.

Chief executive Frank Hanna said: "Jacksons is a quality business with a premium positioning and an impressive track record of product development. It benefits from a broad customer base and product offering across a range of markets including major government infrastructure projects.

"The acquisition is in line with our diversification strategy and brings considerable growth opportunities, including an exciting pipeline of potential infrastructure projects."

As of 1005 BST, Brickability shares were 0.40% lower at 49.55p.
