Central Asia Metals output rises across the board

(Sharecast News) - Central Asia Metals said on Wednesday that first-half output rose across all three of its metals, leaving it on track to meet full-year guidance.
Copper production from Kounrad rose 1% to 6,304 tonnes, while Sasa produced 9,094 tonnes of zinc-in-concentrate and 13,312 tonnes of lead-in-concentrate, up 5% and 6%, respectively.

The company reiterated 2026 guidance of 12,000 to 13,000 tonnes of copper, 18,000 to 20,000 tonnes of zinc and 26,000 to 28,000 tonnes of lead, and ended June with net cash of $96.7m.

Chief executive Gavin Ferrar said the first-half performance was allowing CAML to benefit from higher copper and zinc prices, while the planned acquisition of Cygnus Metals remained on schedule to complete in September.

At 1146 BST, shares in Central Asia Metals were up 2.63% at 132.6p.
