Great Portland Estates fully lets office space at Carrington House

(Sharecast News) - Property development and investment firm Great Portland Estates said on Thursday that it had fully let office space at its Carrington House site in West London at record rents.
Great Portland Estates said it had leased more than 6,900 square feet of fitted workspace at record rents for the building of up to £105 per square foot - 8.1% ahead of enterprise rental values.
Located in the heart of the West End, the FTSE 250-listed firm said Carrington House was "a prominent Grade II Listed building", offering a range of amenities within immediate access to Mayfair and Soho. Over 8,800 square feet of the total office space in the building was converted from ready-to-fit space into fitted workspace, expanding GPE's flex office portfolio.
Sophie Pearce, senior portfolio manager at GPE, said: "Fully letting the offices at Carrington House at record rents demonstrates the strength of demand for quality, Fitted workspace in prime West End locations.
"Customers want flexible, well-located space that is ready to occupy, and the success of our circa 2,000 square foot fitted workspaces highlights the appeal of our offer for growing businesses. This is another strong example of GPE responding to customer needs and delivering space that works for them."
As of 0940 BST, Great Portland shares were up 0.16% at 349.56p.
