Thruvision secures £3m contract in Asia

(Sharecast News) - AIM-listed Thruvision said on Monday that its principal regional partner in Asia has been awarded a £3m contract to deploy the company technology across multiple major airports in South-East Asia.
The deployment is focused mainly on airport worker screening and insider-threat mitigation.

Chief executive Victoria Balchin said: "This award, which is our largest contract award in Asia to date, represents another significant win for Thruvision and demonstrates the further success of our strategy there. As our second major regional order this calendar year and our third contract worth more than £1 million in Asia within 14 months, it provides further validation of both our technology and our partner-led route to market.

"The aviation sector increasingly recognises that security extends well beyond passenger screening, with insider threat becoming a major operational priority worldwide. Working alongside experienced regional partners allows us to address these evolving security challenges at scale, and we believe this award further strengthens our position for future growth across Asia and other international markets."

At 1602 BST, the shares were up 31% at 0.82p.

Thruvision develops, manufactures and supplies walk-through security technology. Its technology is deployed in more than 30 countries around the world by government and commercial organisations in a wide range of security situations, where large numbers of people need to be screened quickly, safely and efficiently.

The company's patented technology is capable of detecting concealed metallic and non-metallic objects in real time using an advanced AI-based detection algorithm.
