(Sharecast News) - Travis Perkins reported a 1.6% decline in third-quarter revenue, as UK construction activity stayed subdued, particularly in the new-build residential market amid ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty.
Like for like sales fell 1.3% in the three months to September 30. The group's merchanting businesses continued to prioritise higher-margin trade and tightly manage credit risk, helping to support profitability despite weaker volumes.
The company also noted tougher year-on-year comparisons against deeper promotional activity in Q3 2025 and said it remains focused on passing through input cost inflation where possible.
Toolstation UK delivered solid revenue growth in the quarter as it continues to expand in line with expectations and looks ahead to further store openings in 2027, the building supplies group said in a trading statement on Thursday.
"Toolstation Benelux performance remains challenging and the group continues to explore opportunities arising from its current strategic review to address this," it added.
