(Sharecast News) - Consumer conglomerate Unilever said it had appointed Reginaldo Ecclissato as president of its new "One Unilever Markets", reporting to chief executive officer Hein Schumacher.
It added that chief financial officer Fernando Fernandez will take responsibility for a number of operational activities, including supply chain and procurement, digital and technology and business services.
The company earlier this year said it was spinning off its ice-cream business, which owns the Ben & Jerry's, slashing 7,500 jobs and cutting costs.
It will now focus on four business groups: Beauty & wellbeing, personal care, home care and foods, which will operate across 24 Business Group-led markets with the remaining 100+ smaller markets run on a "One Unilever" basis "to benefit from scale and simplicity" the company said.
